About Courtney

I'd describe my personality as calm, empathetic, and bubbly. I like working with kids because their world is what me make of it. It is exciting to see children grow during such sensitive developmental periods. There is nothing like seeing a child master a new skill and beam with pride in themselves. I'm looking for a job that is supportive of my education. I am currently enrolled in an Advanced Master of Social Work program at Texas State University. I plan to work with vulnerable youth in the future, focusing on children and families who have experienced abuse in their lives. I have experience working with children and families impacted by child abuse, and hope to share child abuse prevention strategies with the families in my community. I started working with kids when I was a Sophomore in high school. I babysat occasionally before that, but ended nannying for a family with toddler boy, early elementary age boy, and a middle school girl for 3 years.
