Hey there everyone I'm Courtney! I am a Pre-K Teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. I have the most experience with ages ranging from birth to 5 years old. While at URI, I student taught at Classical High School and taught Kindergarten at Richmond Elementary. I am CPR certified and have reliable transportation. I love to create crafts and engaging lesson plans with children to foster a love of learning. I've always know I wanted to be a teacher and I was for just over 10 years. I've left the profession to work closer with students, 1-on-1 and hopefully start my own family. When not teaching, I love to travel/hike with my husband and visit museums of all kinds. I am an active member of my church and serve in many ways- worship leader and Sunday school teacher. I am more than willing to give references, background checks, etc., at request. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me!!
We cannot recommend Courtney highly enough. She was previously our daughter’s Pre-K teacher, and the bond they formed in the classroom was so special that we knew we had to have her in our home as well. Our daughters absolutely love her, and that trust has made all the difference for our family. Because of her background in education, Courtney brings a level of intentionality that is rare to find. She doesn't just 'watch' our 6 and 3-year-olds; she engages them with thoughtful, creative crafts and learning projects that she clearly puts time and energy into planning. It’s amazing to see the kids so excited to learn and create while we’re away. She is also a total pro at managing the more challenging parts of the routine. We have two very picky eaters, and she handles mealtimes with the kind of calm, patient authority that only a seasoned teacher possesses. On top of being wonderful with the kids, she is incredibly proactive. We always come home to a clean and organized house, as she takes the initiative to tidy up and move things back into place without ever being asked. Finding someone who is this professional, creative, and genuinely loved by our children has been a game-changer. She is truly part of the family!
