About Courtney

Caring for others has always been close to my heart, especially because of my own journey growing up without both of my parents. Those experiences taught me resilience, patients, and the importance of compassion, which I now carry into the way I care for others. I worked with children through the boys and girls club, tutoring in classrooms, which I do now and volunteering in my community, but some of my most meaningful moments came from volunteering at an elder home one summer before coming into college, where I read poems and visited with the residents. I love seeing how something as simple as reading or sharing time together could brighten their day. These experiences shaped me into someone who is empathetic, dependable, and committed to make others feel safe, respected, and care for.
