I love this work! In the past, I've worked for an agency and I was blessed to be set up with two clients that had dementia and their reward in taking care of a client with dementia is , you're not just taking care of the client you're taking care of the caregiver/s of that client. Allowing them to have some time for themselves and their mental health to be restored. My most recent job was working for the retired sheriff of Pierce County, Chuck Robbins. I served him for almost 6 months going into hospice.. his wife is now a mother figure in my life. I thoroughly enjoy working with anyone with physical and mental health needs bringing light to the world into the family . Cynthia took care of my mother who had late stage dementia . She was a saint! There were evenings after her hours where my mother had fallen and my dad needed help getting her up and Cynthia would drive up there to help my father. She went above and beyond in every aspect. My mother just loved her and she really helped my dad understand what my mom was going thru. Cynthia showed up to work with a smile on her face. I would highly recommend her for adult care.
