About Damis

I'm a mama of two and a wrangler of many, bringing a calm, steady presence to those I support. After leaving my desk job as a graphic designer, I followed my calling into caregiving and end-of-life support work. As a trained death doula, I focus on helping elders and families feel cared for, seen, and respected-providing both practical help and emotional grounding. I offer gentle companionship, reliable help with daily routines, light housekeeping, and meal prep, always meeting people where they are. Passionate about human connection, I believe in creating space for people to feel at ease in their own homes and lives. A few of the things that bring me joy are singing (alone or in groups), making (and wearing) costumes, and traveling to new bodies of water. While all wild waters feed my soul, the shores of Lake Superior are my favorite place to be.
