My name is Darren. I'm a friendly, compassionate, and patient man who enjoys spending time with the elderly. I primarily offer companionship, transportation, presence, and positive interactions. I spent a lot of time with Grandparents, older relatives, and have experience caring for an elderly 90-year-old man. We went to lunch regularly and would go on drives and I would take him to local art museums, events, and appointments. I also have experience working in a senior living facility for 2 years as a Dining Room Lead Server. I worked closely with the med techs and care staff and also occasionally assisted with the activities director for some of their activities and enrichment. I am personable, approachable, kind, and loving. I would love the opportunity to meet your loved one and see if we may be a good match to help with your needs. I prefer not to be involved with bathing / more personal care, but there in companionship, transportation, and connecting.

Darren was a tremendous help in caring for my 40-year old husband before, during and after rotator cuff surgery. I work full-time, am pregnant and also have a two year old and was not able to provide the round-the-clock care my husband needed immediately following his surgery. Darren helped pick up and administer medication, fetch and apply ice packs, provide food, and basically took care of anything my husband needed during that critical window. He was extremely patient and nurturing, and very attuned to how my husband was feeling. Darren continued to help with transportation to follow up appointments and ongoing care for my husband as needed. He also pitched in a few times in caring for my 2 year old and did a great job! Darren is friendly, flexible and reliable. I highly recommend him as a caregiver!
