About Deborah

Hi! I'm a pediatric RN with 36 years of experience and a nursing professor for the past 16 years. I still work as a nurse, but I'm semi-retired and looking for part-time childcare where I can support families in a more personal, hands-on way. Newborn care is one of my favorite areas, and I do a lot of overnight and night care, especially for twins and triplets. I'm very comfortable with feeding schedules, soothing, sleep support, and helping parents get the rest they need during those early months. I'm calm, patient, and easygoing, and I bring a very steady, reassuring presence. I love creating a safe, cozy environment where babies and children feel secure and parents feel confident. I communicate openly, respect household routines, and aim to make things feel calm and manageable - especially at night. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and comfortable caring for children of all ages, from newborns through teens. I'd love to connect and see if I might be a good fit for your family.
