I'd describe my personality as outgoing, engaging and dedicated. I like tutoring because it gives me the time to help a student grasp a concept. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work one-on-one or with a small group of students struggling with Reading, Social Studies/History, and Science. These subjects require a large amount of reading which is necessary for retention and overall success. I started tutoring in 1998 when I worked in a middle school. In my spare time, I love to read and make crafts. One thing you should know about me is that I am dedicated to whatever task assigned. My skills include engaging students effectively. I present lessons in a way that students feel safe and comfortable with while challenging them. I will tutoring in the most comfortable environment, be it your home or an agreed upon meeting spot.
