My elder care experience was an unpaid assistant in a nursing home as a teenager. My mom was hired as a live in caregiver there. we lived there together. I LOVED it!! I formed many strong connections/friendships with the residents and they with me as well. Also, as a young adult, I cared for my ailing grandparents. I assisted with bathing, dispensing medications, preparing meals, and doctors appointments. From 2001-2006, I had a licensed in home childcare business, that I loved. I had to close down due to my husband becoming ill and being bed ridden for a couple of months. All is well now, but as you can see I have a deep love for providing care to people of all ages. I am currently a certified Notary Public. I have had my background checked by the FBI and Dept. of Justice for any crimes in the entire country.
