About Denise

I'd describe my personality as positive, engaging and warm. I like caring for seniors because I feel that often they are a marginalized section of society. Our culture doesn't revere or protect seniors the way other cultures do around the world and it's heartbreaking. I'm looking for a job that is purposeful. I started caring for seniors when my own grandparents moved into our home; first my grandfather came to live with us, then my grandmother. Both suffered from Alzheimers. At first their fragility was something I was afraid of, then I saw how much they needed us and what an honor it was to support them through the 'golden years'. In my spare time, I like to take care of animals. One thing you should know about me is I'm always creating something! I love to cook, paint, and write. My skills include extreme patience, impeccable home making (including delicious meals), and great problem solving.
