My name is Diomelyn, but I go by Joy. I have been a professional caregiver since 2003, with extensive experience providing long-term care, including one client relationship that lasted over 11 years. I specialize in dementia care and understand the importance of patience, compassion, and consistency when supporting individuals with memory-related conditions. I genuinely love caregiving because I enjoy helping people feel safe, comfortable, and respected. I am energetic, a good conversationalist, and I enjoy listening to my clients' life stories. Bringing smiles, laughter, and companionship to those in my care is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I also trained as a midwife in college in the Philippines, giving me a strong medical background and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals on behalf of my clients.
