About Donna

Hi, I'm Donna. I'm 36 and I have a diverse skill set and experience with children! I started working with children in my early twenties, in daycares (infants to pre-K), preschools and afterschool programs. I also started a degree in Elementary Education at RIC, later I switched my major to Youth Development. During that time I was a nanny for several great families (infant & toddlers). And most recently, a counselor in group homes for teenage girls. A big passion of mine is farming. I've worked now on 4 different local organic vegetable farms. Currently, I am assistant manager on a farm in RI. I love the outdoors- hiking, biking, swimming. I'm creative, have a big imagination, and an upbeat, but calm demeanor. I'm the "let's go to the park over TV time" type of nanny. Kids are learning. Supporting them when they are frustrated is key. I have the patience & the toolbox to manage the tougher moments when they arise. Looking for part-time hours with a great family!
