About Dr Deanna Marie

I am an experienced mathematics educator with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, specializing in Algebra I, foundational mathematics, and GED preparation. I hold a Doctorate in Adult Education, a Master's degree in Mathematics Education, and I am a Florida-certified mathematics teacher (grades 5-9). I work with middle school, high school, college students, and adults who may have struggled with math or need a supportive, confidence-building approach. My teaching style is patient, structured, and practical, breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I have taught in traditional classrooms, alternative education settings, correctional education, and online environments, including extensive virtual instruction during COVID. I am especially effective with adult learners and students who feel anxious or discouraged about math. My goal is to help students understand math, gain confidence, and succeed.
