I have a 16-year-old cat at my cottage in OB and co own a dog with my daughter. Presently, when she works, the dog is with me and when I work, he is with her. Works out great and we live one block away from each other. I always keep my cat's litter clean! A clean litter box is a MUST! - at least twice a day for scooping and once a week to empty and wash out the litter box. Playing, stimulation, love and of course, fresh food and fresh water twice + daily. For dogs, walking them on a leash, picking up their poop, playing with them, positive words, giving them love, fresh food and fresh water twice daily + my first cat lived till she was 17 and the cat I have now is 16. I used to breed and show my 5 dogs back in the early 90s. I have raised both my daughters with cats and dogs since they were babies. I have plenty of experience and I treat all animals as if they were my own.
