About Elena

With over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities, I bring a calm, supportive, and engaging approach to both child care and learning support. My background includes preschool teaching, special education coordination, and therapeutic foster care case management. I'm especially passionate about working with neurodivergent kids and those with learning differences-adapting activities to fit their unique needs, interests, and communication styles. During COVID, I provided full-time at-home schooling for the children of a frontline medical family, including one child on the spectrum. I created personalized lesson plans, collaborated with his support staff, and developed strategies for emotional regulation, focus, and a reward system that worked for him.
