I started caring for seniors when my mother-in-law began living with us in 2013 or so. In my spare time, I spend time with my loved ones, hike, paint, write, play games, cook, etc. One thing you should know about me is my faith in God and his Word is the foundation of how I live my life. I had the privilege of witnessing my dear friend care for her mother-in-law for nine years, and I can say with confidence that the level of love, patience, and dedication she showed was extraordinary. During those nine years, she managed every aspect of caregiving—medical appointments, daily routines, emotional support, and the many little things that make a person feel seen and valued. But it was during the final three months, when her mother-in-law became bed bound, that I truly saw the depth of her strength and compassion. She provided full-time care in her home without hesitation, ensuring her mother-in-law was always clean, comfortable, safe, and cared for with dignity. This included everything from feeding and bathing to companionship. She navigated it all with grace and never once treated it like a burden. It takes a special kind of heart to do what she did—not just out of obligation, but from a deep well of respect and love. Anyone would be blessed to have someone like her in their corner during the most vulnerable stages of life.
