Hello! My name is Elissa and I am a student at the University of North Georgia! I have been a part of the children's ministry at my church back home for almost three years. I have served as a camp counselor and a VBS teacher during previous summers. I served at a cancer retreat where I spent multiple hours taking care of kids so the parents can have personal time to relax and spend time together. I was a summer nanny last year with two families that also went to my church as well. I helped cook lunch and dinner, changed diapers, took them to the park/ swimming pool, played dress up, and helped with homework. I am CPR and AED certified, and I was a lifeguard for five years. I also was a swim instructor for one of those years. I just currently finished nannying a 1-year-old boy with a neurological developmental disorder, and I would take him to the park, work on walking exercises, drive him to PT, teach him piano, etc. Please reach out if you have any more questions. Elissa is incredibly sweet and so gentle with my LOs. She has been dependable and does more than what she's asked to do. I have two toddlers under 3 and Elissa knows just how to pique their curiosity by going outside and playing with them endlessly. Their adventures entailed gathering cool rocks, exploring the backyard garden, playing soccer/tennis, going on long neighborhood walks and a variety of other activities in the backyard & playroom. (She never opted for TV! She'd rather go outside and find something fun to do) I felt comfortable leaving my children in her care and she was also mindful of how she left their environment clean and tidy. I would definitely rehire. My kiddos absolutely loved Elissa. My son brought up twice the books that they read together and I just can't say enough good things about her!
