About Elizabeth

Hi, my name is Elizabeth, but I go by Liza. I am by nature an artist, but also a natural caregiver. Although I originally got an AA degree in Art, I had more education, including 2 yrs of pre-med courses. I found myself taking a massage therapy course, which I loved, & I spent a number of yrs working as a massage therapist specializing in pain relief, both chronic & acute. Right around the time the work was slowing down, my mother started wanting companionship & someone there when she went to sleep, plus there were periods when she needed to be driven to doctors appt. s, on errands & shopping, so I spent 3 of her last 4 yrs caregiving for her. For 4 of the past 7 yrs, I worked as a live-in caregiver for a retired physician with a chronic back disability, & slowly deteriorating mobility & dementia, plus taking care of her 2 little dogs. These past 3 yrs I've worked P-T positions, this past yr as a mostly live-in caregiver for a 91 yr old woman - companionship, driving, & whatever needed
