About Elizabeth

I'm a certified special education teacher and certified teacher of students with visual impairments. I've spent the last three years working at the Maryland School for the Blind, and the nine years before that at the Texas School for the Blind, primarily with DeafBlind students. I've worked with a wide spectrum of students from ages 6-22 both during the school day and evenings. My experience covers many disabilities including deafness, blindness, deafblindness, autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, physical disabilities (cerebral palsy, wheel chair users, etc) and more. I'm well versed in positive behavioral support strategies and trained in MANDT. I sign ASL at a moderate-advanced level. I'm braille certified as well. My rates would vary depending on the kind of work you're looking for.
