About Elizabeth

At the age of 14 I was a candy-striper at a local hospital. At age 16 I was in a horrific car accident and admitted for 10 days. ( in the same hospital I was volunteering ) I had exceptional and dedicated caregivers during that time. This inspired my 37-year nursing career. Throughout my career I have approximately 10 years of experience in senior care in an out-patient setting and an additional 2 years in home-care. I was a Licensed Practical Nurse initially and then advanced my education to become a Registered Nurse. I have CPR training ( not currently certified ) and First Aid Training . I adapt to changing routines, and handle confusion, agitation, or behavioral changes with patience. I believe in open communication, preferring to connect with families in person or by phone to discuss their loved one's well-being. Being open, approachable and trustworthy as well as a good listener are very important qualities to have.
