I've always been around animals; growing up, we had all kinds of pets, and they were just part of everyday life. Taking care of them came naturally to me, and my bond with my dog Scout has only made that stronger. He's basically family, and looking after him has taught me so much about patience and loyalty. My first job was actually at a veterinarian's office, and I stayed there for three years. I started with the basics; cleaning, feeding, helping out-but over time, I got to be more hands-on and really learn how to care for animals in a medical setting. That job showed me how much I enjoy being around animals and helping people take care of the ones they love.
