As a passionate and experienced childcare provider with over a decade of experience, I'm dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of children. With a graduate degree and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Early Childhood Education, I ensure a safe and stimulating environment for your little ones. My patient, creative, and approachable nature allows me to connect with children and foster a positive learning experience. I believe in open communication with parents, providing daily written reports and verbal updates at pickup. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules to maintain a structured and safe environment; and enjoy engaging children with everything from outdoor sports to educational games, I enjoy a variety of activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional development and well being. With a maximum capacity of caring for four children at a time, I'm happy to assist with carpooling, travel, and swimming supervision.
Elizabeth has been taking care of our son from December to present (age 12mo - 18mo). Elizabeth is extremely loving and caring and treats our son as if he was her own. Her years working in education (albeit with older kids) gave her the skills to help him rapidly develop both mentally and socially over the last several months. She’s engaging, caring, and so much fun while being careful to maintain a safe environment. Elizabeth takes very thorough notes of her day, including meals, activities, diaper changes, and general observations about mood, rashes, behavior, etc. When she has an opinion or recommendation about our son’s care, feeding, sleep schedule, etc., she will let us know (either in person or in her daily summaries), but is happy to abide by our preferences if they oppose hers. With this being her first position as a nanny, there was a bit of an adjustment period getting used to the logistics of working in this environment. As we provided feedback and laid out our specific desires and rules of employment, she took it to heart and became a wonderful asset to our son and our family as whole. We would have loved to continue having Elizabeth take care of our son, but we decided to place him in daycare to be around other children for his social development. In addition to caring for our son, Elizabeth was always more than happy to tidy up the kitchen and wash dishes for us during nap time (not expected as part of her normal responsibilities), take our dog out, and help with our son’s laundry - all of which has been an enormous help to us. We will miss seeing Elizabeth every day, we were very fortunate to have her as a regular part of our lives for the last several months.
