About Elizabeth

My experience with elderly care was with my grandmother! I was her live in caregiver until the day she passed, which was just over 2 years! The duties were to manage her constantly changing medications, do the grocery shopping & prepare meals, encourage her exercises, drive her to appointments, take her to church, set up visits with friends/family, pay bills, help her with the bathroom trips & bathing to ensure no falls! Keeping her happy was a duty of mine because I am aware how easily depression sets in for the elderly. We would sit outside to soak up the sun, joke around, listen to her oldies music & dance around, watch her old movies, water the garden together, drink tea & talk about the old days. All of which I feel was very important. I learned a lot from those years and would be so happy to give love and care to another! I feel it is a very special time of someone's life & I really enjoy helping make someone's later years smooth, happy, comfortable, and joyful!
