About Elizabeth

Hi, my name is Betsy! I am a college graduate with an Early Childhood Education degree. My passion is working with kids in a variety of ways. I was a teacher for a few years, and most recently I have worked as a nanny. As a nanny, I believe it is my role to create a safe and comforting environment for children. I focus on engaging children in a variety of activities to foster communication through language, promote fine and gross motor skills, develop cognitive skills, and promote social-emotional learning. I nurture these skills by facilitating fun and educational activities for them to engage in throughout the day. My personal favorite activity to do with children is baking. One of my main focuses with child development is modeling healthy social skills that promote sharing, turn taking, and conflict resolution. This is important for children to learn as toddlers to help them navigate social situations in the school environment and when they are playing with their peers.
