I am a retired nurse (RN), and I ran my own family day care for 8 years while my children were growing up. I am the oldest of 8 children and have been around children of all ages all my life. I am comfortable with children and adults with special needs. I have my own transportation and valid driver's license. Interacting with children and keeping them engaged is important, helping with homework, outdoor activities, walking/hiking, etc, as well as crafts and helping with cooking when appropriate. taking children to and from various activities can also be done. Betty has been part of our family for a couple of months now. My kids and I love her. She is reliable, lets the kids play outside, and cooks and does craft with the kids. She makes sure that they do their homework and always leaves the house spotless. She is also taking care of the dog. All in all, Betty is a fantastic addition and I am so glad that she works with us.
