New to Care
This is a criminal background check required for all caregiver before they can message families.
Currently a graduate student pursuing a master's of science degree in clinical mental health counseling, looking to directly care for older adults of various abilities. Comfortable in assisting with all activities of daily living, medication management, light meal preparation and housekeeping, and participating in or setting up engaging activities with or for the individual needing care. Although I have no paid experience working with senior individuals, I am educated in human development, dementia-related conditions, various disabilities, and have a growth-based mindset. I am always willing to be trained, taught, and come from a background in working with disabled children who have high support needs, meaning I am very patient, operate from a person-centered approach, and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances and demeanors. Able to provide no more than 20 hours a week of care, and my weekday times of availability can be flexible!
