I started baby-sitting at the age of 13 and developed a love and care for the children that I was responsible for. I currently teach the 5-year-olds at my church group, teach piano lessons part-time, and occasionally baby-sit for several of my friend's children on a on-call basis. During college, I took elementary education courses for two years. These courses taught me how children learn, develop, and grow physically and mentally. I have always had a love for children and enjoy caring for them.

Elizabeth has worked for me for the past several months. I have two girls ages 3 and 1. Some people enjoy kids, some love it, but Elizabeth is very genuine around my girls. They have become pretty attached to her and get excited when she walks in the door. She is very good at imaginative play with my 3 year old and will climb right into the play house we have with her and step right into any "role" my 3 year assigns her that day. She excels at one on one time with my 1 year old, showing her objects and teaching her the names of them. Reading stories, going to the park, zoo, magic shows, etc with both girls. I trust her to drive my car so that we do not have to move car seats around. I work from my house so it makes that pretty easy, also I see first hand how she interacts with my children. Elizabeth is very accommodating to our schedule and makes our "date nights" stress free knowing our girls are in good hands. We are losing her due to an out of state move but we wish her the best and hope she finds another great family to care for!
