About Elizabeth

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I know math is hard. In school math was a big brooding mountain I did NOT want to climb. It was always so hard to sit down and work to learn something that didn't even make sense in class. I understand the frustration, and I know how to get past it. I am in my last semester of pursuing my degree in mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin and whilst studying here I've explored a deep rooted love and understanding for mathematics. I can guide students through the winding world of mathematics and help them build confidence and bring their own personality into the work we do together. I am familiar with many different types and levels of mathematics from rudimentary to theoretical. Through my experience with a volunteer program I have tutored people of all ages and skill. I've learned how to keep learners engaged and excited and I can recognize which learning methods work for each student and avoid the ones that don't.
