Elle worked for us for 2 years. She was responsible for picking up my 10 year old son and my 7 year old son from school every day and caring for them until about 5 pm. Elle was an exceptional babysitter. She was the perfect blend of responsible, firm, level headed adult, which I loved, and cool, creative, playful companion, which my sons loved. She remained calm and patient under all circumstances, arrived on time, and gave me plenty of warning about schedule changes. She always showed excellent judgment, and as a result I had complete trust in her. She was also thoughtful and caring and took her role in their lives seriously. We had several good discussions about child rearing and I appreciated her perspective. From my sons' view, she was creative, smart, interesting, and oh so cool. She was the older friend that they could trust and at the same time could goof around with. I always felt like she truly enjoyed their company and I'm sure they felt it too. I think our family has high standards when it comes to child care. Both my boys and I need to feel 100% enthusiastic about a sitter in order to ask them back. As result, there have been plenty of sitters that we have not stuck with. Elle was one of the few exceptions. We all felt very lucky to have Elle part of our family, and if she were still near by, we'd beg her to be part of our family again!
