About Ellie

When I was searching for a caregiver for my grandfather, I carefully read the posted reviews. I was looking for the ones not written by the candidate’s friends, but rather, from the patient or the patient’s family. I promise you this review is as sincere and honest as they come. We had hired a few home care workers from several of the local so called “top rated” at home care companies that the hospitals recommended. The caregiver they would send were mostly unqualified, could barely speak English, and made less than what you make at a fast-food restaurant. My family member was too important to continue that type of quality care. We went through 5 before I changed tactics and began interviewing candidates from Care.com. When I reached Ellie’s profile, I was excited and reached out right away. Ellie promptly came to our house that evening, interviewed for the position, and was hired on the spot. What a breath of fresh air. What a difference in the overall experience of having someone care for your loved one. Ellie is extremely intelligent, experienced, as trustworthy as they come, sincere, and loving. It’s when you meet someone and know they have a good heart-that’s Ellie. My grandfather was very successful in life and was used to things his way. He was also very independent and obstinate. That all changed when he met Ellie. With her magical powers she was able to disarm him of his refusal for help immediately. Ellie was always tending to, watching over, and making sure he was comfortable. I had installed cameras in the house (b/c of the prior home care workers) as I traveled in from out of state. I would watch her massage his back, feet, or simply hold his hand for hours. She made such a glowing difference in my grandfather’s final months. She showed such love and compassion. She was the angel God sent in our darkest days. She is a beautiful person thru and thru. If you are in a similar situation as I was -with a parent or relative not wanting help or are struggling in your search for the right caregiver – rest assured Ellie is exactly quality person you want caring for your loved one. I, or any of my family members, would be honored to speak on her behalf. For those skeptics out there like me- this is the one review you want to pay attention to.
