About Ellyn

I started peer tutoring in high school, 10 years ago, in math. Since then, through my education in math, biology, and chemistry, I've privately tutored high school students in all subjects. I recently taught in adult education for two years prepping adults for the GED exam and teaching basic math for carpentry. In that, I helped people feel excited about and capable in math "for the first time". I understand how to support many different people in their academic endeavors, and when tutoring, I provide clear explanation, emotional regulation, and skills for self-studying and eventual independence in learning. I am available for short term or long term help! I provide a need-based and topic specific sliding scale from 30$/hr to 50$/hr
