About Emara

My name is Emara, I'm a PA-certified PreK-5 teacher with many years of experience as a full-time nanny and Montessori guide. I've cared for children from 6 months through middle school, and everything in between! My philosophy as a nanny focuses on building connection, fostering kids' interests, and creating routines that work for them. My go-to phrases are always, "Tell me more!" and "How could we solve this together?" With babies, I emphasize sensory and linguistic engagement that helps them connect with the world around them. I have experience with everything from wake-up through bedtime and am just as comfortable with activities at home as with trips to the library, parks, and playgrounds. I'm happy to provide references from families I've worked with! I'm seeking a 30-35 hr/wk position starting around Jan 12, 2026. I am a current Mental Health Counseling graduate student, so I'm available for mostly morning hours with the possibility of 1-2 full days.
