About Emily

I have 15 years of tutoring experience across all elementary and middle school subjects, serving as both primary teacher and tutor for my three children and other students through home education and group classes. Over those years, I completed continuing education courses across various subjects to increase my knowledge and effectiveness. My specific expertise and passions: intensive phonics and language development, selecting curriculum, and customizing instruction and material for a student's unique learning style. Because of my son's dyslexia and dysgraphia, I have acquired significant knowledge, skills, and empathy to effectively teach a student with this gift. Results: My oldest child earned a B. S. in Nursing. My second daughter graduated summa cum laude from Biola University's Torrey Honors College with a degree in journalism. My third child, who has both dysgraphia and dyslexia, is a junior at Baylor University on a 50% academic scholarship.
