About Emily

Hi there! My name is Emily, and I have a BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies as well as a BS in Nursing. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, with hands-on experience in childcare, education, and healthcare. I've always had a passion for working with children. In high school, I nannied for a family with three kids for over a year and a half. I also spent two years as a horseback riding instructor, teaching children as young as 3 years old. This role that taught me patience, creativity, and how to make learning fun. More recently, I worked as a teacher assistant at The Cole Academy with toddlers and 2-year-olds, and as a nurse assistant at Kapiolani Women's and Children's Hospital, where I gained valuable experience caring for infants and young children. I'm responsible, kindhearted, organized, energetic, and reliable. I currently have about six months before starting my nursing residency and would love the opportunity to care for and support families during this time.
