Hello! I am a speech-language pathologist that works with medically complex children Many of the individuals I work with have epilepsy, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, and/or rare genetic conditions. I specifically have experience with seizure response (including administering rescue medication), lifting/positioning (wheelchairs, walkers, gait trainers, etc), feeding/hydration via g-tube, feeding children with feeding difficulties, modifying for vision/hearing impairments, toileting care, and most heavily, working with AAC users/nonspeaking communicators. At work, I spend most of my time with nonspeaking students who use a variety of AAC access methods, including switch scanning, eye gaze, direct select, partner-assisted scanning, and everything in between!
