Hi, I'm Emma! I have over 20 years of paid babysitting and nanny experience. I've worked with children of all ages, and truly love building lasting, positive relationships with the families I serve. I've been babysitting and nannying since 2002. I just moved back to Grand Rapids. I'm CPR/AED certified. I've been living in Oregon the last 5 years running a bed and breakfast, teaching swim lessons and babysitting. I've been a swim instructor since 2004 and specialize in parent child participation classes and private lessons for 0-8-year-olds. I have a lot of experience babysitting and have watched up to 6 siblings. I was a live in nanny for 4 kids for a year and was a nanny for a family of 3 for 5 years. Otherwise, I've done lots of date nights, over nights, or "subbed" for full-time nanny's when they've needed days off and such. In the past, all of my babysitting families have been from word of mouth or I've taught them swim lessons.

We've had the pleasure of having Emma care for our two boys (10 months and 2.5 years) and she has been absolutely wonderful with them. Emma is energetic, proactive, and genuinely engaged with the children. She planned age-appropriate activities and crafts daily, worked on developmental skills with both boys, and they clearly enjoyed their time with her. Beyond childcare, Emma was incredibly helpful around the house - she handled all meal prep for the kids and pitched in wherever needed without being asked. She's the type of caregiver who sees what needs to be done and just does it. Emma built a strong connection with our boys quickly and they responded well to her warm, nurturing approach. She's reliable, communicative, and truly cares about the children she works with. Any family would be lucky to have her, and we'd highly recommend her for a long-term nanny position.
