About Emma

I'm currently a genetic counseling master's student at University of Minnesota and have a bachelor's in molecular biology from Scripps College. I first got hooked on tutoring a couple of years ago, when I tutored a high school student in chemistry. It was amazing to see my tutee go from struggling with basic chemistry concepts and study skills, to excelling in chemistry and becoming an independent learner. With the confidence and skills gained through tutoring, my tutee decided to continue with chemistry and take AP Chemistry the next year. As a tutor, I always work with my tutee to identify their strengths and weakness, and strive to cater to their learning style. I also aim to help my tutees build strong study habits that will enable them to become more independent as learners. I have worked with middle school through college students in a variety of STEM subjects and would be excited to work to meet your child's needs!
