About Emma

Hi! I'm a certified teacher with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a graduate degree in Education. I'm certified to teach through 6th grade and have 4 years of classroom experience, including teaching kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grade. I have a strong background supporting a wide range of learners, including students with special needs, through my work with the National Honor Society, Young Life, my church nursery, and the Special Olympics Organization during college. I specialize in tutoring elementary students in reading, writing, and foundational math, and I strive to make learning both engaging and confidence-building. I'm passionate about helping students reach their full potential in a positive, encouraging environment. I'm flexible with scheduling and comfortable working in homes with small dogs (no cats, please, due to allergies).
