About Emma

As a teacher's aide, I planned, directed and monitored instructional methods and content of educational or student activity programs, making changes as needed for curriculum accessibility or behavioral problems. Provided extra assistance to students with special needs, such as those with physical and mental disabilities. Supported students with communication challenges utilizing AAC communication devices. Presented subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, discussions or supervised role-playing methods. In my past I have also served of a reading tutor for an elementary school, working with small groups of students on their confidence and understanding reading books and sounding out phonics. My Bachelor's is in English and Law. This has provided me a great understanding of the english language and how to teach it.
