About Emma

Hi my name is Emma! I'm 22 years old, CPR/First aid certified, and currently attending UTA to earn my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. I'm considering either NICU, labor and delivery, or pediatrics. I have always loved kids and find connecting with them easy. I grew up babysitting family friends children; starting when I was 8 years old. I also babysat a family friend's 3-year-old consistently for about a year before I started college. Before switching my major to nursing, I had always planned to become a kindergarten teacher, so while in high school, I took a class that allowed me to be an intern and student teach at 2 elementary schools. I interned in a 1st grade class room during my junior year of highschool, and then a kindergarten class room for my senior year. I love kids, so babysitting seems like a great job to have while in nursing school! I am out of school until next fall, and am willing to build my class schedule around my caregiving schedule as much as possible.
