About Emma

I'm Ms. Emma, a Cornell University graduate (C. Laude, 2020) with a degree in Environmental Science. My college years taught me discipline, time management, and balance-skills that have proven essential in caregiving. After moving to South Korea in 2020, I earned a 120-hour TEFL certification and began teaching students from grades 1 to 12. Over the past four years, I've taught everything from elementary science and math to AP-level history and psychology, both in classrooms and one-on-one settings with international students and now in Chicago public's school system. This experience has helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and engaging approach that supports each child's unique learning and emotional needs. As a caregiver and tutor, I bring strong communication, empathy, and a calm, nurturing presence. I build meaningful relationships and provide structure while fostering curiosity and confidence.
