About Erica

Hi, I'm Erica! In late 2012, my family faced the difficult decision to place my grandmother in a nursing home facility as her dementia progressed. Unfortunately, we quickly realized she was not receiving the level of care or dignity she deserved. Witnessing her mistreatment was a turning point for me; I chose to quit my job and move her into my home to provide her with full-time, one-on-one care. Caring for her until her passing in 2018 was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. It gave me a firsthand, intimate understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the aging population. I learned that beyond medical assistance, seniors need patience, advocacy, and genuine companionship. Since 2018, I have dedicated myself to home health aide positions. I stepped into this professional role because I know exactly what families are going through and, more importantly, I know exactly what their loved ones need to feel safe and respected in their own homes.
