I have been nanny and a baby-child sitter for more than 20 years. I worked for public schools for 10 years. Playing outside. Helping/teaching children to write or do some homework is fine with me. I have also worked with all sorts of "special needs and children with disabilities". The families I have worked with have children ranging from 5 days old to 23 years old. Date night or emergency sitting is also something I do. The earlier you know the easier it can be.!

Erika was able to come on short notice and help with an apartment deep cleaning. Punctual, great eye for detail, and super friendly!

We are so grateful that Erika is part of our family life. I was introduced to her via my daughter, who also is a client.  We have struggled with having a social life as 1 of our 2 beautiful rescue dogs has socialization issues.  Erika came to our home several times in advance of her first appointment to spend time with C. and earn her trust.  Her patience and knowledge of training has resulted in a great rapport, allowing us to spend time away from home without worrying about our canine kids.  Erika's kindness and compassion is immeasurable, and we appreciate the time she takes to text us with a detailed report each time she visits.  I wish that there were more stars with which to rate Erika as 5 just are not enough!

Erika has taken care of my daughter for almost 5 years now. She is trustworthy, punctual, kind and patient with my special needs daughter. I have never had a single issue with her getting here, staying longer than expected sometimes and always smiling when I got  home. She stayed the weekend I went on my honeymoon and I couldn't have gone without her. You will not go wrong with entrusting Erika with your kids, pets, or any loved one that needs care. Thanks for all the years of service Erika. You've truly been a lifesaver for giving me peace of mind while I'm working. Finding a person I can trust with my special needs daughter was really hard. She had never stayed with anyone outside my immediate family before Erika, and never since. Thank you! 

Erika is a hard worker, kind, and loaded with common sense! She anticipates what needs to be done and thinks three steps ahead of me. My kids (one with ADHD) and dog really like her!! She helps with housework, homework and dinner prep. She also takes care of our dog when we are out of town. Love her!

When we originally interviewed Erika for after school care she was the best applicant we spoke with up to that point. We told her the position was hers if she wanted it, however she stated a preference for another opportunity over ours leading us to believe she would be unavailable. 

Due to the uncertainty of Erika's status and a lack of better options on Care.com, we enrolled our child in the Parks District program as a fallback to ensure we had after school care coverage therefore reducing the amount of time we'd need someone per day. We spoke with Erika again on at least three occasions after enrolling in the Park District program and this change seemed to be okay with her at the time. She ended up accepting the role for the school year. 

Understandably, this position became less desirable due to the reduced hours, and I don't fault Erika for preferring a position that would pay her more. My issue is she committed to us for the school year with this knowledge only to back out a week before school started.

It left us in a very stressful situation that we're still trying to deal with nearly a month later. I cannot recommend her based on this experience.

Erika is a fantastic caregiver for our baby and toddler. Furthermore, she is extremely helpful and always supportive. She has been working with us for about 2 months.

Erika is punctual, dependable and a delightful person. She has babysat our little guy many times. She is great with our little one and has been very helpful to our family. I would recommend her to babysit anyone!
