About Farnaz

Hello! I am a recent UCSD graduate, where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. My goal is to tutor high school students who may be struggling to grasp the challenging material in chemistry or biology classes. I also speak Farsi, and can tutor in Farsi if needed! I'd describe my personality as optimistic, friendly, and motivated I like tutoring because I like when I can help another student have an "a-ha" moment when they are trying grasp material I'm looking for a job that involves tutoring a high school age student in sciences like chemistry and biology, either online or at a cafe/library. One thing you should know about me is that I would say that I am good at making complicated material digestible. I like to make fun analogies to things to help make the material make sense and become more memorable! My skills include positive reinforcement, active learning/recall techniques, goal setting to keep the student focused
