I am very active by nature and I take great pleasure in engaging with children and in helping them to discover the simple joys of the world around them. I grew up with many children and family Members around me all the time and was raised in a culture where "it takes a village" is a guiding principle. I have lots of experience caring for children, and I believe very much that it takes much more than being just a "babysitter". I have been a live-in nanny in (SF, San Mateo, and Alamo/Walnut Creek) for 4 years, with two different families, and with children ranging from 0-month-old through 14 years old. They are now like family to me, and I stay in touch with them and keep up with their children as they grow up. Fatou is one of the best caregivers we have ever had - she loves & takes care of your babies the way you could only hope a caregiver would. She watched our baby 1:1 from 2-6 months, then through a nanny share from 6-12 months. With the kids, Fatou was kind (teaching them "gentle hands" and how to share), interactive (always talking & singing to them), and adventurous (took them on daily park and playground visits, to go see art, walk around the neighborhood, etc). With us, she was trustworthy, honest, and communicative. Our family couldn't love her more.
