Hello! My name is Fionna, and I am a reading tutor based in the Philadelphia area! I have over four years of reading tutoring experience with elementary school age children and hold degrees in English and Creative Writing from Oberlin College. For the past two years, I was a full-time literacy tutor for Joyful Readers, a non profit literacy org based here in Philly, tutoring children grades K-3 in foundational literacy skills. Not only am I an expert in building these skills, which include phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and more, but I also take pride in delivering passionate, joyful instruction to all of my students, finding creative, individualized approaches to help students through their problems and utilize their strengths. While more experienced in elementary tutoring, I am also open to working with middle school aged children in any ELA - or math! - related capacity. I can't wait to be in touch!
