I have past experience in home health care, where I cared for both a mother with dementia/Alzheimer's and her daughter. My responsibilities included meal preparation, light cleaning, bathing, and keeping their living areas fresh and ready for the next day. I also provided companionship--sitting with them, reading, playing games, and offering support throughout the day. In addition, I handled errands when needed, and I enjoy organizing spaces like closets and dresser drawers to help keep things in order. I also cared for my grandmother, who was bedridden, which taught me how to change linens and diapers while the patient remained in bed, as well as how to rotate them regularly to prevent bed sores. Beyond basic care, I also offered hair care--washing and styling their hair the way they liked it--to help them feel good about themselves. My focus has always been on making sure the people I care for feel comfortable, respected, and well taken care of.
