About Gavin

I have a lot of experience taking care of children unprofessionally. I have baby sat for family friends' kids growing up, and worked voluntarily at camps for children during summers while I was in high school. One of these camps, which I helped at yearly, was a soccer day camp, and one was a general day care camp at our local community center. I currently intern in a NYC DOE school with older children as a school social worker, as part of my work towards my Masters degree in Social Work. From these experiences, I have learned how to meet children's' basic needs, keep them entertained and having fun, manage conflicts between them, and help them feel supported and understood when they are upset.
