I enjoy engaging children with outdoor and educational activities. I have a college degree, a car, and I'm comfortable with pets. I'm also First Aid and CPR Trained. I'm happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision.

I come from a large family of 8 children, and I cared for my younger siblings who are now all grown. I speak English, French and Swahili. Gentille was our nanny for 3 months when our kids were 1 and 3. She is amazing! She is warm, caring, reliable, and maintains her sense of humor even when there is chaos all around her.

Gentille was wonderful. She was very warm and jumped right in with the my three kids. She helped with making dinner for the kids and even managed to clean up, which is no small task! The kids were all sound asleep when we got home and all had great things to say about her in the morning. They would love to have her back, so we were thrilled! 

Gentille is absolutely wonderful. She watched my four month old twins while she was on winter break from school. I was working from home, and Gentille was such a joy to have in our home. She fed the twins, read them books, encouraged them to do tummy time, helped with their naps and diapers, and took them on stroller rides. She was very calm and loving to the babies. I miss her terribly and am so grateful we got to work with her. If you get the opportunity to work with Gentille, go for it!

I cannot sing Gentille's praises enough. She cared for our son from 3 months old and we trust her implicitly. She exudes warmth, was punctual, loving, and such an incredible friend and playmate to our son. She was like a member of the family and we felt she cared for our son as if he was a member of hers. We were lucky to have her as a nanny, particularly for us anxious first-time parents. She set our minds at ease and was truly an incredible caretaker.

I hired Gentille to help me manage my three girls, one 3 1/2 years old the other were 2 month old twins, in June 2018.  Gentille came over several times a week in the afternoon to help me get through the mid afternoon until my husband came home from work.

Gentille did a beautiful job juggling two babies, one very colicky and my 3 1/2 year old which is a full time job in of itself, while I rested in another part of the house.  She sung beautifully to my babies and was one of the few who could put my one colicky baby to sleep.  She also always made sure my 3 1/2 year old picked up/ helped her pick up all of her toys before she left our home in the evening so it was a smooth transition to dinner and then bed.

I would recommend Gentille in a heartbeat.  Her calm and relaxed manner was a godsend to help me over a very challenging time in my life.  

Gentille has provided nearly full-time care for my now 13-month-old son several months so far. I've quickly discovered how dependable, capable, nurturing, trustworthy, adaptable, attentive, intuitive, understanding, generous, exuberant (if there are more praise adjectives, they'll fit), and all around fantastic Gentille is on multiple fronts - as a caregiver for my baby, as a supportive presence within my household, and as an individual. 

Gentille not only met but exceeded my needs and expectations. I wanted my son to get high-quality enrichment for his intellectual and emotional development, and Gentille came through by chatting lovingly and humorously with him throughout the day, singing (beautifully) to him, reading children's books, playing, etc. She was also very knowledgeable and natural at other baby care tasks - responding to cues for nap or food, preparing and feeding and cradling him as needed. It was my first time hiring a babysitter for our 3 month old son. We don't have any family in Chapel Hill and we found Gentille. I really liked working with her since she was easygoing, sweet and played with my son the whole time. I would definitely recommend her!

I have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Gentille very well over the last 4 months as she cared for our infant son 4 days a week while I worked from home. 

Gentille is patient, attentive, and truly took the time to get to know our baby and his cues. With Gentille I never had to wonder whether his diaper was being changed or he was crawling into places he shouldn't be. Her undivided attention and loving nature make her a natural caregiver! Our son has grown to love her smiles, singing and dancing, and we've LOVED that she has spoken to him only in French (though her English is fantastic as well)! 

For my husband and I, Gentille has been an absolute joy to interact with. Her calm spirit and positivism has made it so wonderful to have her in our home. She is receptive to feedback, always on time, and has come early or stayed late whenever we've needed her to. She also notices opportunities to help with other tasks (such as cleaning the dishes or sweeping the kitchen while baby is napping) and as a busy mom I truly have appreciated her initiative! 

We wish our time didn't have to end (due to our travel plans) as it truly feels as though she has become a member of our family! I hired Gentille as a nanny for my 10 month old when I went back to work and before our daycare slot opened up.  She has been great, very responsible and caring, and my daughter is very comfortable with her.  I would continue to use her as a babysitter (for date nights, etc.) after my daughter starts daycare.  I definitely recommend her.

I have known Gentille since she was about 13 years old both in Rwanda and when she came to the US. She has been my student in our church school.
