About Giulia

I have been working with the older adult population through my career. Most recently, I worked with individuals living with dementia at Institute on Aging (Oct 2023 - May 2025). At IOA, I spent time with clients and provided emotional and social support, helped them perform ADLs (such as using the bathroom, eating, and ambulating), led engagement activities (i. e. physical, artistic, cognitive), and used crisis intervention when needed. I am CARES certified in dementia work. Previously, I worked in a research setting at Rice University with folks who had post-stroke aphasia, and I also worked at the VA medical center in Houston with Vets managing diabetes. I'm currently getting my masters in therapy/counseling and love to meet people and make new meaningful connections. I would love to meet and find out how I can be of help.
